Each leader’s expertise and dedication contribute to a shared vision of empowering health and inspiring hope, delivering quality care to uninsured families throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Maritza Quintanilla

Executive Director
Maritza brings more than 20 years of experience in finance, grants management, and administration, along with a strong background in organizational leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership and has demonstrated exceptional expertise in financial stewardship, compliance, and operational management. Her proven leadership, passion for service, and strategic vision will continue to strengthen HOPE’s mission and support the organization’s long-term success. With her dedication and experience, Maritza’s leadership will play a vital role in advancing HOPE’s mission and enhancing its presence throughout the region.

Naomi D'Acolatse, MD, MPH, FAAFP

Medical Director and Family Medicine Physician
Dr. D'Acolatse joined HOPE as Medical Director in September 2024. She is a board-certified family physician, public health practitioner, and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, Dr. D'Acolatse has extensive experience in medical education, grant writing, and community outreach. She brings a 23-year commitment to serving underserved patients both locally and nationally. In addition to her role as Medical Director, Dr. D'Acolatse is the founding Program Director for DHR Health's Family Medicine Residency Program, where she has integrated medical residents as volunteer providers to enhance patient care at HOPE.

Jennifer L Ortega, DPC, LPC-S, CPC, CCATP

Integrated Behavioral Health & Counseling Director (Consultant)
Dr. Ortega joined HOPE in July 2025 as the Integrated Behavioral Health and Counseling Director (Consultant). She holds a Doctorate in Professional Counseling (DPC), a Certification in Compassionate Leadership in Global Health, and is a Certified Professional Life Coach and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S). Dr. Ortega is also a Fellow of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM), with a focus on Behavioral Science and Family Systems Education. In addition, she serves as Core Faculty and Behavioral Health Specialist for the DHR Health Family Medicine Residency Program. With more than 19 years of experience in mental health and integrated care, Dr. Ortega brings both clinical expertise and a deep, enduring commitment to serving the Rio Grande Valley community.
